3. We Do Not Sell Your Personal Information
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing or for targeted advertising.
4. Service Providers and Other Disclosures
We share information only as needed with service providers that help us operate the website and the practice, for example:
- our website hosting and website software providers;
- Microsoft (Microsoft 365 email and Microsoft Bookings for scheduling); and
- SmartVault (our secure client portal for document exchange).
These providers process information under their own privacy and security terms. We may also disclose information when required by law, regulation, subpoena, or professional standards, to protect the rights and safety of the firm or others, or with your consent.
5. Cookies
This website uses only the cookies needed for it to function and stay secure. We do not currently use advertising cookies or analytics tracking, and we do not track which links or buttons you click. Our website hosting provider may use its own scripts to monitor site performance and basic traffic. If that changes, we will update this policy before doing so. Third-party tools you choose to use, such as Microsoft Bookings, may set their own cookies under their own policies. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
6. Confidentiality of Client Tax Information
As a Texas-licensed CPA firm, we are subject to professional rules that prohibit disclosing confidential client information without the client’s consent, except as permitted by law. Tax return information is also protected by Section 7216 of the Internal Revenue Code, which generally prohibits using or disclosing tax return information for purposes other than preparing the return without the taxpayer’s written consent. Your engagement letter describes how client information is handled during an engagement.
7. How We Protect Information
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including a secure client portal for confidential documents. No website, email, or internet transmission is completely secure, which is why we ask that confidential information never be sent through the public website form or regular email.
8. How Long We Keep Information
We keep information you submit through this website until you ask us to remove it. Client records are retained as required by law, professional standards, and the engagement letter, so some records may need to be kept even after a removal request.
